1920 saw the birth of the Jean Martin family business. We have always loved the local Baux-de-Provence
olives that grow near our home town of
Maussane-les-Alpilles, and we have now been creating delicious delicacies from this gently
aniseed-flavoured fruit for nearly a century.
In 1933 the company’s founder, Jean Martin, founded the ‘La Maussanaise’ brand to promote cracked
Baux-de-Provence olives, a product that has become synonymous with fine foods. We think it is the best label to carry this new range of outstanding products. Fruit, vegetables, spices and herbs from the South of France are picked with the greatest of care and cooked using no artificial colourings or preservatives. Our ‘La Maussanaise’ products are prepared in the traditional manner, and will be adored by food connoisseurs.
